General information on Teaching and Science Communication

The recently established Master's Degree in Science Teaching and Communication (S4EDU), based on modern Science Education, aims to train a well-defined, nationally innovative and multitasking professional figure.

The S4EDU graduate combines a knowledge of the structure and functioning of natural systems with the most effective communication and dissemination skills of science, so as to form a complete, modern and competitive professional figure in the world of work. The S4EDU Master's Degree Course, established in the LM-60 Class of Natural Sciences, can also include three-year graduates with different scientific training (for example naturalists, biologists, biotechnologists, geologists, chemists, agronomists), interested in continuing their studies in a direction of understanding integrated and communication of naturalistic aspects and science. S4EDU is free to access following verification of the adequacy of the candidate's curriculum and personal preparation.

The Course of Study introduces itself

The strength of S4EDU is the marked interdisciplinarity which allows us to rethink the Natural Sciences from different perspectives. In a first phase (LEARNING), alongside the consolidation of mathematical knowledge for the Sciences, the problem of climate change and the conscious management of the Earth System will be explored by integrating themes of Ecology, Biosciences, Geosciences and Chemistry. Subsequently, the most modern methodologies and technologies of scientific and digital communication (COMMUNICATING) will be acquired. S4EDU is completed with practical activities useful for entering the world of work (PRACTICE) carried out in a naturalistic analysis centre, school, communication centre, dissemination centre. The activities are carried out in collaboration with MUSE, the Science Museum of Trento.
