The Course of Study in “GEOSCIENCES, GEORISKS AND GEORESOURCES” (in the Class of Master's Degrees LM74 in Geological Sciences and Technologies) trains specialists with in-depth preparation in various sectors of geosciences and other related areas, and their applications for the purposes of mitigating geological risks, sustainable use of natural resources and their protection. 

The Study Course includes two curricula that form specific professional profiles.

• Curriculum A - Earth System and Georesources. It trains geologists with specific preparation in the analysis of earth dynamics at various scales, and in the techniques of prospecting, retrieval, characterization and valorisation of georesources, understood as raw materials and environmental heritage. 
• Curriculum B - Geohazards and environmental sustainability. It trains geologists with specific preparation in the evaluation, prevention and mitigation of geological hazards and risks and in the analysis of the geological-technical factors that influence the development and management of the territory.

During the first year, training activities pertaining to geological, linguistic and engineering sectors are planned. During the second year, in addition to further training activities in the geological and legal area, an internship in institutions or companies and the preparation of a project or research degree thesis are envisaged, with collection and interpretation of data in the field and/or or in the laboratory.  Thanks to agreements with various foreign universities and research bodies, it is possible to carry out part of the study course or thesis activities abroad.
