Short biography: Dr. Martin Harper is retired from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. He obtained his PhD from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. He also has degrees and diplomas in Geology (Oxford University) Environmental Science, Analytical Chemistry and Pollution Control. He is a Certified Industrial Hygienist and Fellow of the American Industrial Hygiene Association, and a Chartered Chemist and Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry. He has more than 140 publications and has taught in 24 different countries. He has faculty positions at the University of Florida and the University of the West Indies.
